Biography

Stephanie Farnia serves as a Principal with Nimitt Consulting, Inc., a consulting firm focused on coverage, coding and reimbursement issues related to cell and gene therapies. At Nimitt, Ms. Farnia develops strategic solutions to complex health care reimbursement and access issues for both payers and providers. She applies her knowledge about commercial payers’ perspectives to help market access teams strategize and implement plans for product launch and address research findings, appropriate reimbursement, and valuation.

Prior to joining Nimitt, Stephanie was the inaugural Director for Gene Therapy and Cellular Immunotherapy at the Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Association, and was responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction on advanced therapies to BCBS Plans. Ms. Farnia previously served in health policy and strategic leadership roles for the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT) and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), where she led initiatives focused on improving access to stem cell transplant and CAR-T. Stephanie holds a Master’s degree in Public Health Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota, where she was a Judd Fellow, and a Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She lives with her husband, two daughters and a giant pile of sports equipment in the upper Midwest.
