Lauren Buckley JD

Lauren Randall Buckley is the Group President of Health and Reimbursement Policy at Jeffrey J. Kimbell & Associates. She has spent her career representing innovative healthcare technology companies before the Administration and Congress on cutting-edge federal regulatory, policy, and legislative issues. Her practice at Kimbell & Associates focuses on providing strategic advice on health and reimbursement policy matters, as well as representing clients before the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other key policy stakeholders. Ms. Buckley regularly advises biopharmaceutical and cell and gene therapy companies of all sizes on health policy matters relating to federal healthcare programs.

Ms. Buckley has successfully represented companies in obtaining HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10-PCS, and ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, as well as Medicare Part B Transitional Pass-through Payment Status under the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System. She also assists companies in developing strategies for mitigating coverage challenges, as well as technical coding and payment policy issues. She regularly advocates for client priorities through rulemaking comments, proposals, and engagements with CMS.

Prior to joining Kimbell & Associates, Ms. Buckley led the U.S. federal health policy portfolio for a biotechnology company and practiced law as a senior associate in the Healthcare Regulatory practice group at Sidley Austin LLP. Ms. Buckley holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Washington College of Law at American University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and minor in Political Science from Penn State University, Schreyer Honors College.
