Dharia McGrew PhD

Dharia McGrew, PhD is a seasoned expert in both health care policy and scientific research. Currently, she is the Senior Director of State Policy at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). In that role she has worked on the implementation of PDABs in both Oregon and Washington. Dharia has also worked in the California State Legislature and served as a legislative advocate for the California Dental Association. Before transitioning to health care policy, she spent over a decade as a laboratory scientist, focusing on genetics, vision disease, and cancer biology. Her diverse career also includes roles in teaching, publishing, and R&D in an industrial glue factory. Dharia holds a PhD in Molecular & Cell Biology from Brandeis University and a B.A. in Biology from Mount Holyoke College.
