Lauren Hoffer serves as a volunteer on the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (“FAST”). Lauren is mother to Ben, 6, who lives with Angelman syndrome (“AS”). FAST has a small but amazing staff, and its Board of Directors, all parents of children with AS, is currently a working one. Lauren, an IP attorney, she uses her legal expertise in many ways to further FAST’s mission to cure Angelman syndrome. She is currently focused on helping payers have the information they need to understand the cost of Angelman syndrome in advance of an FDA approved drug.

In her day job, Lauren Hoffer is Sr. Litigation Counsel for IP Matters at Dell Technologies. In this role, she handles day to day strategy and logistics with outside counsel on Dell’s patent litigation in federal district court and the International Trade Commission. Her day includes enforcing and upholding contractual IP obligations with suppliers and customers. She also works to support Dell’s interests through lobbying and amicus efforts and handles negotiation of IP terms with suppliers and customers. Prior to her current role, Lauren also handled product liability and commercial litigation for Dell. She is active on the internal diversity and continuing education committees.

Prior to joining Dell in 2011, Lauren was an associate in IP and Commercial litigation at Morgan Lewis and Jones Day law firms. Lauren lives in Austin, Texas with Ben, her other son, Charlie and husband, Greg – who works tirelessly for his family.

The South Carolina Pharmacy Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Continuing education credits will be available to participants who fully attend the program and then complete an online educational activity evaluation. A unique code given at each activity must be provided in the evaluation to receive credit. Grievances regarding the education program must be submitted in writing to the SCPhA ACPE Administrator immediately following the program.
