During his 30-year career, Terry Cothran has had the opportunity to experience many aspects of pharmacy from Retail, Specialty, Managed Care, Academia and Government. Terry is currently Senior Director of Pharmacy for The Oklahoma Health Care Authority with direct oversight of the pharmacy benefits provided to well over one million Oklahoma Medicaid members. He was fortunate to be instrumental in Oklahoma being the first Medicaid state to obtain CMS approval and implement a Value-Based Contract (VBC) with a pharmaceutical manufacturer.

He helped implement several other contracts over the years and continues to work with manufacturers to further this work. With Oklahoma being one of the leaders in this space, Terry and his team have had the opportunity to share their successes and lessons learned with other Medicaid states and interested colleagues.

The South Carolina Pharmacy Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Continuing education credits will be available to participants who fully attend the program and then complete an online educational activity evaluation. A unique code given at each activity must be provided in the evaluation to receive credit. Grievances regarding the education program must be submitted in writing to the SCPhA ACPE Administrator immediately following the program.
