Cindi Pearson Pharm.D
Dr. Cindi Pearson has been a pharmacist for 28 years with 10 years of Medicaid experience. She has been the Drug Utilization Review Coordinator for the Arkansas Medicaid pharmacy program for over 6 years. Cindi’s passion in providing care to underserved populations began in 2013 while being a pharmacy consultant with the Arkansas Department of Corrections. When the opportunity to move to Medicaid became available, Cindi was excited to be able to have a positive impact on many more lives than ever possible in the prisons.
Prior to joining Arkansas Medicaid, Dr. Pearson has worked in a variety of positions providing vast pharmacy experience including chain and independent retail, pharmacy management, long-term care, hospital, and corrections. Cindi has found that having knowledge about so many types of pharmacy practice has helped her in her current role as DUR Coordinator.
Dr. Pearson received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in 1997. Cindi is blessed to have a wonderful husband of 30 years, two beautiful grown daughters (one with a Master’s in Higher Education and the other is in her 3rd year of law school both attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville), and the best dog ever, Dexter.
