Edem is a native of Ghana, Africa and has dedicated his career to lifelong learning ever since learning of his Sickle Cell Disease Diagnosis at a young age. Edem’s didactic pursuits began with earning his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University followed by his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Florida A&M University, both with honors. He is currently completing a 2-year fellowship through the Rutgers University’s Pharmaceutical Industry Program at Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals and intends to earn his MBA in Finance, Strategy & Leadership. At his core, Edem ultimately aims to serve the underserved and lend his voice to the soft spoken so Sickle Cell Disease education aligns both personally and professionally with his core beliefs and values.
